 BULLSEYE PRAYERS Psalm 146:7 NKJV Who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners. Oppression is contrary to the will of God. He frowns at every such act, especially against the poor and His children. When we cry to Him therefore, we appeal to His will and He rises to execute justice for us. Mind Your Motivation This is an area where many christians are active in their prayers. Deliverance from the mischief of the enemy is a major focus of the prayers of many of us. It is especially true for christians in Africa. However, while this appears to be in line with the prayer of the widow and thus Jesus’ endorsement of the prayer point as important to God, there may be an important difference in motivation. You may ask “what is the motivation behind our prayers against our enemies?” The motivation behind Jesus’ emphasis on this is contained in the expression of His mandate. He came to destroy the works of darkness and to give eternal life to us.
