Some people discovered incorrect addresses, others found information that belonged to relatives, and an 82-year-old man was very surprised to learn that he had a new wife.
Correcting information on a credit
report can be challenging and there’s
no guarantee that it will be resolved in your favor. A good way to help manage the hassle of making a correction is to research the requirements for how specific and accurate the information must be when someone provides it to the credit reporting bureaus and the procedures
that credit bureaus must follow when you report an error.
