Our Bar Convention is just a few weeks away... and it’s what we’re all talking about – the 28th Annual Bar Convention at Leavenworth, WA. You see it here on the cover and there are details about the ‘big’ weekend event on page 12. Don’t miss this Academy Awards themed weekend – your chance to get out of town and have fun. Bring the family, pets and $5 bills for the outstanding raffle. Watch those deadlines and don’t be late on signing up because you will not want to miss it. A Recent Decision by the Board of Trustees. At the June 18 Trustees’ Meeting, the Board members voted to have the WA Women Lawyers Liaison and the Pierce County Minority Bar Association Liaison changed from a non-voting position to a voting position. It was really an easy decision and one a long time coming; we just needed to be sure we crossed our T’s and dotted our I’s and to change our by-laws correctly.

Elizabeth Vincent, our editor and her co-editor David Shelvey, along with her hard- working committee members would like to hear from you, if you have an article to share with our members. The September/October Fall issue deadline is August 10th and our November/December Holiday issue deadline is October 10th. Email your article to director@tpcba.com.

If you hear of a member who has passed, or you know of a birth, wedding, illness, retirement, congratulatory event, etc. involving our TPCBA members, please notify FRIEND Committee Chair Tim Lewis tim@pugetlawgroup.com and also copy director@tpcba.com The committee will send flowers, a plant, and/or card, etc. on behalf of the TPCBA membership.
