A Word from the
Executive Director

It’s June already, and here’s what’s happening at the TPCBA…
We have an extra busy President and Board this year, and we also have an
ambitious Young Lawyers Section with Brenna Quinlan as their leader. Check
out their report on page 25 which gives you details of the New & Young
Lawyers’ annual summer social, “Verdict in Vogue”, on June 27th.
TPCBA’s Animal Law CLE and Pizza in the Park is returning on June 28th
at the Pt. Defiance Ft. Nisqually picnic area. This CLE is organized by the Bar
staff and was very popular for many years pre-Covid, so we have dusted it off
and it is returning with current animal law topics of interest. See the detailed
flyer in this issue. Everyone is welcome and the cost is very minimal, with 4.5
CLE credits.
Our Golf Committee is working to put on two TPCBA Golf Tournaments
again this year. The first will be June 13th at the Highlands Golf Course. It’s a
scramble format and all golfers of any level can play. There will be sponsors,
food, and fun! The Annual Stroke Play Trophy Tournament will be held
August 15th at The Home Course in Dupont. (Flyers are in this magazine).
And don’t forget to red-mark and circle your calendar for our 29th Annual
Bar Convention on October 10-12 at the Skamania Lodge. It’s going to be a
weekend of “Oz” with all the usual and extraordinary fun for you and your
family members.
Sponsors are needed! Sign up now to become a Convention sponsor and
your generosity will be recognized on the TPCBA website, in the Pierce
County Lawyer Magazine and of course during the convention weekend. We’ll
also link your website to ours! Raffle items are also needed. Email director@
tpcba.com if you have something to donate or are interested in sponsorship.
Your Attorney's Lounge needs new chairs. Would you like to make a
donation? There’s a drop box on the wall next to the cups in the lounge,
or email director@tpcba.com. Your continuous support for our Attorney’s
Lounge is always appreciated!
