Back on the ship, we were informed that some scientists
from Port Lockroy Station joined us for a day so they can
get a break from their routine. They were picked up in
the middle of the night when we passed the station in
the invite of our Expedition Leader. She used to lead that
research team and know them all. They are on board right
now to answer questions and mingle with the passengers
after months of very little people contact.
Tonight will be the same routine
but I can’t wait to hear during the
briefing what we will do tomorrow
since everything is ice-dependent
and based on satellite signals.
