Choki and I exchanged glances and said in unison, “Of course, sir.”
Two days later, the nurse gave us the documents and said, “You can take your baby home in the
evening.”
“Where is Dr. S.K. Mitra?” I asked. “Is he coming?”
“I don’t know,” she said. “He instructed me to discharge your baby.”
Sad, we had to walk out of the ward without thanking Dr. S.K. Mitra.
