The next morning, I went to the duty room with the luggage. “Nurse, we’re going. Um, I am wordless, but thank
you for everything. Thank you, one and all.”
They responded with grins. “Take care,” they said in unison.
I couldn’t wait to sink into a deep sleep for the rest of the day. As I hauled the luggage to the cab, I stopped to
mutter to myself, “Would I have a peaceful sleep for the rest of my days?”
