                    not only significantly enhanced patient outcomes but have also redefined orthopedic treatment standards
                    globally.  Dr. Sarmiento's visionary approach challenged traditional paradigms, advocating for early
                    mobilization and functional healing, thereby reducing complications and improving recovery times. His
                    innovative research and extensive clinical work laid the groundwork for modern bracing techniques,
                    transforming patient care through minimally invasive yet highly effective interventions.

                    Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Sarmiento has been a beacon of innovation, inspiring generations of
                    orthopedic surgeons, technologists, and educators. His scholarly work, numerous publications, and influential
                    teachings underscore his profound impact, making him the cornerstone of contemporary orthopedic practice.
                    The technological advancements that form the backbone of today's orthopedic bracing and casting methods
                    owe much to Dr. Sarmiento’s dedication and ingenuity. His relentless pursuit of excellence, coupled with his

                    Charles Barocas, CO
                    Executive Director, ASOP


                    Charles Barocas, CO, is the Executive Director of the American Society of Orthopedic Professionals (ASOP) and a pivotal
                    figure in orthopedic education and certification. With a career spanning over five decades, Barocas has been
                    instrumental in developing and expanding ASOP's certification programs, including the Registered Orthopedic
                    Technologist (ROT) credential and has trained over 1000s of healthcare professionals in orthopedic casting and bracing
                    techniques. A Vietnam War veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Barocas brings a unique perspective to his work,
                    emphasizing the importance of structured training for both civilian and military medical personnel. Under his leadership,
                    ASOP has partnered with the armed forces to provide a certification pathway for Military orthopedic technologists,
                    facilitating their transition to civilian healthcare roles.
                    Jack Hart, LXT, ROT, OTC, is a seasoned orthopedic technologist with extensive expertise in orthopedic casting and
                    splinting. His career includes significant contributions to emergency care at Kaiser Permanente in California, where he
                    applies his skills in high-pressure environments. Through his dedication to education and professional development, Jack
                    Hart continues to influence the field of orthopedic technology, ensuring that practitioners are equipped with the
                    knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality patient care.

                    Dr. Keith A. Vanic, ATC, OPE-C, FASOP is a distinguished leader in orthopedic clinical practice and athletic training
                    education. As a professor and Program Director of the Graduate Professional Practice Program in Athletic Training at East
                    Stroudsburg University (ESU), he has been instrumental in shaping advanced orthopedic curricula and mentoring future
                    healthcare professionals. Dr. Vanic teaches specialized orthopedic courses emphasizing hands-on clinical skills and
                    evidence-based practice.

                    Dr. Gerard Rozea, ATC, is a respected figure in orthopedic clinical practice and athletic training education. As the Athletic
                    Training Department Chairperson at East Stroudsburg University, he has a dedicated record in advancing
                    musculoskeletal care.  Dr. Rozea has been instrumental in integrating evidence-based practices into orthopedic practice
                    and casting techniques. His leadership in curriculum development has ensured that practitioners are well-equipped with
                    the latest knowledge and skills necessary for effective orthopedic care.
