We welcome everyone to Chaparral Stadium, home of the Westlake
Chaparrals. We would like to formally welcome our guests this evening as
they have traveled to our stadium to watch all of the festivities that a high
school football game brings. We look forward to sharing a great evening
with the Steele, Austin High, Lake Travis and Dripping Springs
communities.
Tonight we will see an athletic competition between two groups of
student-athletes representing their schools and communities, and we
encourage good sportsmanship while we appreciate the hard work and
efforts by all groups involved here tonight. As our team takes to
Ebbie Neptune Field led by Coach Tony Salazar and his coaching staff, we know our players are prepared for
success. Through summer conditioning, summer camp and the beginning of the school practice routine, our
players and coaches have dedicated their time and energy to making this an amazing season at Westlake High
School. The Senior Class of 2026 will continue the Westlake tradition and commitment to excellence in the
classroom, on the field and in our community.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our cheerleaders, band, Hyline, EVE, video crew and
student trainers who make these evenings so special. The dedication and commitment to these programs by our
coaches make our game night environment one of the most unique in Texas. We appreciate all of our parents
and their commitment to their children and our school.
We also appreciate the support of our alumni as they may have returned for an evening of football or chosen to
make Westlake the place to raise their families.
We also recognize our teachers and staff who work with all of our students represented here this evening
in one of the most outstanding academic settings in the country. Congratulations and thank you to all of
these hard-working, caring and ambitious staff for making the 2025-26 school year and football season a great
experience for all!
Good luck to all of the participants tonight, and may everyone in attendance have a safe and memory-filled
evening.
