Workshop Pre-Work
Chapter 1: Assignment Instructions (to be completed prior to workshop):
1. Review the social media accounts of the Vikings, Astros, and Rockies, focusing on their latest posts. Take note of the platforms they use and the type of content they share on each platform.
2. Create a PowerPoint document and jot down key observations for each platform and the content displayed. Use bullet points or concise notes.
3. Write a separate page for each team, summarizing the aspects of their social media strategy that you find interest- ing and relevant to your own program. Include the images you reviewed in the PowerPoint presentation.
4. Are there specific things the team has done that you think you really should be doing? Put in the slide deck.
5. Send the completed PowerPoint document to us, and we will incorporate content from your work into the
workshop review.
6. Evaluate your program’s current social media presence. Provide an honest assessment of your strategy, program
values, school environment, and how effectively these elements are reflected in your social media execution.
