The construction crew started hauling the new greens mix

sand from the parking lot to the outer loop of the golf course

last week. Six of nine greens have been filled in and

compacted within a week. Exactly 12” of greens mix is

pushed on top of the 4” gravel layer to complete the USGA

green construction. Grading stakes and soil probes are

utilized to ensure 12” is installed so that the integrity of the

subgrade and contours remain unaltered. Greens drainage

outfalls were also installed on holes #3 and #15, as well as

gravel on #15. The shaper completed #5 then moved to #11,

and will move to #10 next. The grounds team fairway

preparation has also moved to the inner loop, as well as the

installation process of new irrigation satellites.
