Coquito
(Puerto Rican EggNog)
Coquito (little coconut) is a holiday tradition in Puerto Rico. It is similar to eggnog but its base is
sweet coconut and rum. this recipe is straight forward, delicious and does not require eggs. It's a
holiday favorite in my family and hopefully it will be one in yours as well. This recipe yields around
50 oz.
Ingredients How To:
1 (15-oz) can cream of coconut 1. combine all ingredients (minus the
1 (14-oz) can of sweetened condensed milk garnish) into a blender.
1 (12-oz) can evaporated milk 2. process until smooth.
12-oz white rum, or to taste 3. refrigerate and allow the flavors to
1 tsp coconut extract, or vanilla extract develop for at least an hour.
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 4. Serve chilled and garnish with the
