Generally, turfgrasses perform at their best in a slightly
acidic soil, that is a soil with a pH reading slightly less
than 7. This will promote the availability of essential
nutrients, and limit of the availability of toxic nutrients.
A soil test will show the pH of your soil and plans can
be implemented from there to strive for that slightly
acidic reading if that is what the test indicates is
needed.
