CCCC Tennis Facility Upgrade Project 2022 Update
Things are speeding up around the courts – the petromax fabric is down and the asphalt overlay
has started.
The overlay process should take four days – done on Friday. The courts will then sit for three
weeks while the asphalt cures. The actual court resurfacing will start on the 19th of September.
While the courts are in their curing stage, South Texas Canvas will start installing the support
structures for the awnings. This process should start on Wednesday, August 24th and last a week
and a half. On Monday, August 29th Bolt Energy Group will arrive at the facility to start the LED
tennis light project. This stage of the project should last a week. In a perfect world, meaning if the
fencing materials are in and on site, S&J Fence will be back to install the new fence around the 5th
of September.

At that point, we would have had our courts overlaid, installed the awning support structures, new
LED lights, and the new fence – all we will need is for the courts to be surfaced. Again, the court
resurfacing is scheduled for September 19th and should take two weeks. My fingers are crossed that
any future rain comes on the weekends and all supplies needed arrive on schedule.
We are very excited that the project is progressing nicely and look forward to seeing it evolve as
each phase is completed. In the meantime, our members and pros are sharing court #3 and the two
clay courts for lessons and member play.
If you have any questions concerning the project, court reservations, or lessons please call me at
the tennis shop at (361) 991-7561 or on my cell (361) 815-5979. I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for your patience,
