Topdressing
Topdressing
Sand topdressing is an essential practice to maintain a
healthy putting green. It smooths the putting surface,
dilutes unwanted thatch in the soil, helps achieve
desired quality of cut with the mowers and provides
the firmness desired in a putting green. All types of
grasses could benefit from a topdress but it is usually
not required as frequently as is a putting green.
