During the last week, the shaper constructed number #12 green,

and then #3 green. He is currently working on #15 green and

surrounds. The construction team has continued to perfect the

subgrades of new greens on holes #3, #12, and #14. Once the

subgrade has Chet Williams’ approval, internal drainage will then be

installed, followed by gravel, and the new sand greens mix. Outlet

drainage installation for greens and bunkers continued on #12, #13,

and #14. The new tee box for #4 has been rough shaped and will

add much needed space to the teeing surface. On Monday,
drainage and gravel installation began on #6 green. Drain lines are

trenched on 15 feet spacing, followed by perforated pipe

installation with a 4” gravel blanket on top, to then be followed with

12” of greens mix. It is a fascinating process that I hope you enjoy

following along with through the project.
