If you have plans to plant any new sod, it is very

important to apply a starter fertilizer to the soil

before the new sod is laid. This will help with

new root establishment and ensure that the

grass has much needed nutrients to grow. A

1:2:1 (Nitrogen:Phosphorus:Potassium) fertilizer

ratio is generally recommended as a good initial

feed to promote root growth.
