Glendalough

Staying with the O’Tooles: How many know that they
have a canonised saint amongst their number? Provide
an outline of the story of Saint Laurence O’Toole who,
at the age of 26 became the Abbot of Glendalough in
1154. He lay the foundation stone of Christ Church Ca-
thedral in Dublin (which now contains his heart) and
was Archbishop of the city when the Anglo-Normans
arrived. The Cathedral contains a stain-glass window
                              dedicated to him.
