Location: West Chester, Pennsylvania
Design Statement: Bernardon provided land planning,
architectural design, and landscape architecture services,
as well as coordination of engineering disciplines, for this
300,000 SF, 205-unit urban infill residential development
designed above a two-story parking structure. Building
amenities include a swimming pool and sundeck, a courtyard
lounge with a fire pit and grilling station, a fitness and
yoga center, an observation deck overlooking the historic
downtown, a media and game room, a wifi cafe, a billiard
room, and indoor and outdoor bars.
The building officially opened on June 8, 2016, at which time
at least 40% of the units had already been leased. The project
is helping to reinvigorate the borough and usher in a new
class of urban dwellers and “luxurious living” in suburban
Pennsylvania.
