Douglas C. Hertsenberg, AIA | Principal

Doug began his association with Bernardon in February 1990. As a Principal, he is charged
with day-to-day firm management and goals, and he maintains a special area of expertise
in the design of senior living communities, custom homes, and hospitality venues such as
golf and country clubs. Doug has also led the firm’s Residential Studio for over 15 years,
having designed dozens of custom residences ranging in size from 2,000 SF to 22,000 SF.
In his design approach, he places the highest priority on the specific needs of each client in
order to create highly original and personalized designs that distinctly reflect the lifestyle and
personality of each individual client or community.
