Design Statement: Bernardon provided architectural
design as well as coordination of structural and mechanical,
electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for
Rehab at Shannondell, a new 173,000± SF, four-story
expansion to the Shannondell at Valley Forge Meadows
Health Center. The project includes a 30-bed transitional
care unit with separate entry and relocation and expansion
of skilled nursing from Meadows I to the new building. The
existing center has been upgraded with kitchenettes in each areas and outdoor courtyards. Each floor has its own therapy
resident room to meet assisted living regulations. center, social and dining areas, and activity room.
