Location: Media, Pennsylvania
Design Statement: Bernardon provided architectural design
services, interior design for the selection of the decorative
accessories and artwork for amenity spaces, and coordination
of engineering disciplines for this multifamily development
which created a new gateway into the Borough of Media from
the West. The exterior of the building is designed to maintain
the industrial aesthetic of the surrounding area. The final
product is built on five levels of IIIA wood frame construction
over a three level, non-combustible parking garage podium
of which the upper level is set at street level. The building
contains 164 apartment units and 8,000-10,000 SF of amenity
space. The project will help to urbanize an underutilized end
of Media and transform it into a transit-oriented residential
hub that will enable residents easy access to the train and a
short walk to State Street.
