Architect: Kelly/Maiello Architects & Planners
• The President’s House is an open air permanent exhibition in the foot print of the original “White
House” circa 1790-1800. In 2010 the memorial, which allows visitors to view the remaining
foundations, some artifacts, signage and video depicting the history of the structure as well as the
roles of Washington's slaves in his household and slaves in American society, was opened. The
memorial was a joint project of the City of Philadelphia and the National Park Service.
