BIOGRAPHY OF
Mary Antionette Deane
Mary Antionette Deane was born on December 1, 1956, in the quiet settlement of Lorimers, Middle Caicos. From humble beginnings, she grew into a woman of deep strength, compassion, and purpose. Qualities that continue to shape
her enduring legacy.
For 34 dedicated years, Mary served as a nurse, pouring her heart into caring for others with skillful hands and a gentle spirit. Her career was not just a profession but a calling. One rooted in her deep desire to help and heal. Whether in the clinic or at someone’s bedside, she was a constant source
of comfort, especially to senior citizens, whom she cared for with a special tenderness and respect.
Mary is a woman of many talents. She finds joy in cooking and baking, and her home has always been filled with the warmth of shared meals and
the aroma of something sweet in the oven. Her love language has always been giving, whether through her food, her time, or her unwavering support to anyone in need.
Faith is the foundation of Mary’s life. She is a devoted and prayerful woman, known for her no-nonsense attitude, strong values, and steady presence. A faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church, she has lived a life rooted in spiritual commitment and service to others.
Mary has been married to her beloved husband, Calvin Deane, for 45 years, a partnership built on mutual respect, love, and shared faith. Together, they have raised three children and are now proud grandparents to six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to being a biological mother, Mary has also opened her heart and home as an adopted mother, providing love, guidance, and support to others as if they were her own. Her nurturing spirit has touched countless lives and extended far beyond her immediate family.
After a lifetime of service, Mary retired just a year ago. Now, she is embracing this new chapter with peace and joy, enjoying the fruits of her labor and the love of her growing family.
To know Mary is to know a woman who gives without expecting, loves without limit, and lives with unwavering purpose. Her life is a reflection of her favorite Scripture—
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” [Philippians 4:13] A verse that has guided her through every season with courage, faith, and
grace.
Her story is one of service, love, and unshakable strength, a legacy that will continue to inspire all who know her.
