Paul writes to the Christians in Rome that they must renew their way of thinking (Romans 12:2). This is exact- ly what we need to do when it comes to evangelism. We are to serve God with joy. Jesus spoke of streams of living water. He did not say that he wanted to baptize us in sour lemon juice, but that he wanted to give us his joy. And His joy is contagious. Many Christians enthusiasti- cally tell people about Jesus shortly after their salvation, but then lose this first fire, as they are rejected, and give up or are slowed down by others.
