Luziel “Madea” Wooten

uziel was born in 1926 to Emma and John Langston Robinson in Eupora, Mississippi. Her mother passed when she was young. She was
the oldest living of her 12 siblings; Ruby Daniels, George Robinson (deceased),
Harvey Lee (Jimmie) Robinson; (deceased),
LC Robinson (deceased), Leroy (Clara) Robinson – (deceased), Johnnie Mae Robinson(deceased), Robert Robinson (deceased), Emma Montgomery, John Robinson, Ken (Windy) Robinson, Charlene (George)Goldman, and Ann Brown (deceased).
Luziel graduated in 1949 from Mary Holmes
High School which was located on the historical black college campus in West Point, Mississippi. In 1950 she married Johnnie Lee Wooten and had seven children in this union. He passed away in 1972. She leaves behind Fredrick Wooten of Illinois, Arbrella (Henry) Luvert of Oregon, Gwendolyn Houston of Illinois (who preceded
her in death), Hal (Alberta)Wooten of Oregon, Joyce
Davis of Minnesota, Johnnie Lee Wooten, Jr. of Illinois,
and Sammie Lee Wooten of Minnesota. She also had two stepsons that both preceded her in death: Johnnie Carodine and Hermond Gliston.
She was blessed to see her 18 grandchildren. She has 38 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren. In addition, Luziel has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and
