Recent Regulatory Actions

• The Securities and Exchange Commission launched its FinTech

Roadmap Committee Report in 2019. It is expected that the

SEC will release regulations which will cover crowdfunding,

investment, ICOs and other hot topics.

• Draft regulations harmonising the various payments licences by

the CBN is expected to be finalised this year.

• The NDIC has started a new window on Fintech and Innovation

Unit. This Unit will identify risks inherent in Fintech operations

and work towards providing mitigants.
