               Things to do

DIANA'S DRESSES: Time's running out to see this beautiful display of dresses and other
outfits worn by Princess Diana in her public appearances. Included are the ink blue velvet
gown, which she wore at the White House to dance with John Travolta, and several items

which have never been on display before. Kensington Palace, included in admission (£12.70-
£19.50), book ahead, until 17 February

MOTHERHOOD: For one week only, work by two artists on the theme of motherhood goes
on display — and it's all for sale too. Artist Amy Shuckburgh shows the intricate details of

motherhood in oils and pastels, while Arabella Brooke's bronze sculptures are more figurative
in nature. Olympia Auctions (Kensington), free entry, just turn up, 11-17 February

ANGLO SAXONS: It's the final full week of British Library's sensational Anglo Saxon
Kingdoms exhibition. Beautiful decorative objects, well-preserved books and other items
