Glamorous Katherine, a former Hooters girl, once said she was "properly poor"
before finding fame, and that she dreamed of one day being able to afford a
takeaway.

She moved across the pond from Canada nine years ago to pursue a career in
comedy and, despite struggling on the pub circuit for years, she’s now become a
staple on our tellies.

A regular on every panel show imaginable, she has her own Netflix comedy special
and a presenting gig with the series How’d You Get So Rich? – not to mention Fake
News-ing the nation into thinking she’d had bum implants.

When asked how she likes to treat herself, she said: "Takeaway! I have takeaways
almost every day. Which makes me feel guilty as a mum.
"But I counteract it with nice grocery deliveries. I have a tiny house, but hey, I’m
happy with my middle class mum luxuries now. I’ll take my £8 cherries from Ocado.
If I lived in Canada I could afford a mansion straight out of college, but it’s different
here."
Katherine also talked about what she'd do if the comedy work ever dried up.

She said: "But if it all went away now, I’d want to study dermatology and burst
people’s spots for a living. But the comedy has to work. It became urgent when
Violet was born. I was poor. Proper Victorian poor."
