Dear D. Augustus Straker Bar Association
Members, and Supporters:

During the past few weeks, our daily lives have
been impacted in unexpected ways, by the

novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Please know
that the health, safety, and well-being of our
members and our community are our

highest concern, as we all navigate through
this global health pandemic, which
disproportionately affects our community. Our

hearts go out to those who are on the front lines, and to all who have
been affected, during this unprecedented time.

The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association is committed to ensuring
the health and safety of our members, and the community. We
have postponed upcoming events, out of an abundance of caution,

and in compliance with Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive
Orders, and the recommendations of the World Health Organization

and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Corporate
Counsel Breakfast; Trailblazers Award and Scholarship Dinner;
Straker Presidents' Reception; Courtroom Etiquette Seminar; and
the National Bar Association Region VI Conference will be

rescheduled at a later time.
