CONGRATULATIONS, ABA PRESIDENT-ELECT NOMINEE REGINALD M. TURNER

The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association
congratulates Straker member Attorney
Reginald M. Turner, on his nomination as
American Bar Association President-Elect.

Turner, who is a past president of the
National Bar Association (2005 - 2006), and
the State Bar of Michigan (2002 - 2003), will
assume the role of president-elect during
the ABA Annual Meeting and will lead the
ABA during the 2021 - 2022 bar yeat.

ABA President-Elect Nominee Turner
follows Dennis Archer Sr., as the second African American to lead the ABA, NBA and
SBM. He is a member at Clark Hill PLC, and is on the board of Comerica Inc., Masco
Corp., and the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Numerous awards have been bestowed upon Turner, during his stellar legal career,
including the recently awarded NBA Wiley A. Branton award and the Neil Shine Lifetime
Achievement Award. He has been featured in Michigan Chronicle Power 50; DBusiness
Top Lawyers; Crain's Detroit Business Power Lawyers; Crain's Most Connected; and he
received Lawyer of the Year recognition by Michigan Lawyers Weekly and Best
Lawyers.

Turner's heartfelt speech to the ABA House of Delegates, was delivered during the ABA
Midyear Meeting, on February 17, 2020 and may be viewed below.
