o 2 Samuel:11-12
o Psalm 51
o 1 Samuel: 13:14
o 2 Corinthians 7:9-11
Repentance Steps
1. Confess your sins in a specific way; e.g. ‘I did this... It was wrong.’ (1 John 1:9)
2. Feeling sorry and realising the impact your sins have had on God and your spouse
3. Ask for forgiveness
4. Suggest how you can change your behaviour (180 degrees)
YOUR TOP 2 MISTAKES
Format for recording mistakes and actions:
For example:
1. Not sharing enough personal information
How to: I will share at least one personal item with <spouse> every day: a thought, an emotion, something spiritual, etc.
FABULOUS FOURTEEN
Create a list of fourteen compliments about your spouse. These may cover many aspects of your spouse and must be written positively, without hidden meaning. Some of the areas may include:
o Physical attractiveness
o Character traits
o Personality
o Positive and helpful behaviours o Spiritual qualities
You will need to work hard at eliminating the negative and bringing in the positive
Check off each compliment as it is delivered
NOTE:
If ‘giving compliments’ is one of the previous ‘Top 2’, then you will add this to this step and be giving a total of three compliments each day.
