My Feelings Teacher Guide



         This set of daily SEL activities will help students understand that all feelings are okay. We have lots of feelings and they
         are not always the same as those around us. They will also learn about changing feelings and mixed feelings.


         Day 1
            • Key Point: We have lots of different feelings. All feelings are okay, even uncomfortable ones. We all have different

               feelings, our feelings change all the time, and you can feel more than one feeling at the same time.
            • Think Question: How are you feeling right now?
            • Student Activity: Identify feelings you had this week and write about it.
         Day 2
 Lauralouweeks
            • Key Point: Explore how we all don’t always share the same feelings.
            • Think Question: Do you and a friend always feel the same way?
            • Student Activity: Scenario looking at how two people feel different in the same situation.
         Day 3

            • Key Point: Explore changing feelings.
            • Think Question: What is something that used to frustrate you but now it doesn’t bother you?
            • Student Activity: Activity exploring how feelings change throughout the day.
         Day 4

            • Key Point: Explore mixed feelings.
            • Think Question: Have you ever felt two feelings at the same time?
            • Student Activity: Exploring having different feelings in a situation.
         Day 5

            • Key Point: Feelings tips and wrap up.
            • Think Questions: Questions focused on what they learned this week.
            • More?: Anything else they want to learn and self-rating if they found the topic helpful.



         Some activities have a rating scale. Students can use this to rate how they enjoyed the activity or whether they found it
         useful.
