B. Research Center/s: None

C. RDE Goals of the College
1. To improve the quality of health of the community through research and development activities attuned to the
National and Regional Public Health priority.
2. To develop and nurture the research skills and abilities of faculty members and students through qualitative and
quantitative methodologies in Health Research.

D. College RDE Objectives:
1. Conduct initial surveys and risk assessments to facilitate interventional studies and prepare extensions and
productivity programs for health;
2. conduct studies and implement programs aligned with epidemiology; environmental health; occupational health;
community health; diagnostics; nutrition, health economics; information and communication technology for
health; drug discovery and development; and formulation of evidence-informed public health policy;
3. spearhead the conduct of health researches in infectious and communicable diseases, emergency response, disaster
risk reduction management, maternal and child health, non-communicable/lifestyle disease, health governance and
management, health financing, sexual and reproductive health, functional foods and traditional, alternative and
complementary medicine; and
4. establish linkages and coordination between health (government and non-government, humanitarian)
organizations, higher education institutions, stakeholders, and policymakers for the conduct of health researches,
in particular along their identified institutional health research agenda.
