In 1997, Jill’s son Max was diagnosed with T1D at the age of four. A few years later, Jill got involved in JDRF
Advocacy, where she now serves as the Grassroots Leadership Team member for Texas and Oklahoma. Jill was a
Co-Chair for JDRF Advocacy’s national Promise to Remember Me Campaign, a long-serving board member for
the Detroit Chapter of JDRF, and a JDRF Research Information Volunteer, among other local roles. Jill and her
husband Jim live in Shelby Twp.
