What a fantastic feeling! currently working towards our final

We have been awarded our second target to gain Plastic Free Schools
Green Flag after all the hard work of accreditation. We also became one
our amazing Eco-Committee. of the first schools in Wales to trial a
                                            monthly Repair Café, helping people
For anyone who, like me, is interested to mend their broken items rather
in environmental issues and wants than throw them away. As well as
to make a difference, Eco-Schools is this, the Repair Café has given me the
a fantastic way to do this. Being part opportunity to chat to like-minded
of the Eco-Schools process has given people over tea and cake!
us a structure and amazing support,
from our Eco-Schools Officer’s advice Eco-Schools has empowered the Eco-
through our journey, to other Keep Committee representatives, who have
Wales Tidy staff helping us to plant become confident in speaking about
wildflowers and trees! The fun online environmental issues in meetings,
virtual lessons have also inspired our assemblies, in class and even with our
learners to become eco warriors! Member of the Senedd. It has been
a pleasure to work with them, and
Eco-Schools has also been a gateway who knows where this confidence,
to other environmental initiatives for enthusiasm and knowledge will take
us, such as Plastic Free Schools. This our young people next!
has had an impact on pupils’ attitudes
towards single use plastic and we are
