Greetings, PCMI Members!
While we continue to navigate COVID-19, I wanted to share a brief update on what PCMI has been up to and what is in store for the foreseeable future.
Due to the continued challenges posed by COVID-19, the in-person Germany Conference will be postponed until the spring of 2022. By then, we hope travel restrictions will have lessened, more people will be vaccinated, and our attendees will feel safe to attending an in-person meeting.
In the interim, PCMI continues to brainstorm and add new programming options. We will continue the Educational Webinar Series into 2022 and are pleased to announce a Networking & Educational Forum to bring members together for an in-person learning experience!
The United States will host this first in-person post-COVID event on Wednesday, September 29th. The program will run from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm and feature an afternoon group discussion, cocktail reception, dinner, and cybersecurity technical session.
The event will give our PCMI colleagues a chance to meet face-to-face, join in roundtable discussions and attend a cybersecurity seminar. While we will not all have the chance to travel to the event, we can attend virtually because the sessions will be streamed live and make the recordings available afterward.
I know it has been a difficult time for many. Your membership and continued support in the Institute are valued now more than ever. Our eyes are on the horizon for better days ahead, and I hope to see you in May!
In closing, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of the members PCMI’s Board of Directors
and Education, Conference, IT and Membership Committees. We were all challenged in own personal and professional lives during the Pandemic. Despite the challenges, they have all continued to give their time, experience, and expertise to create exceptional programming and ensure that the Institute continued to provide members with valuable services. I could not have succeeded without them.
Stay well!
