Letter From the Executive Director

Hello PCMI Members,
I hope you are enjoying the summer and have had some vacation time. Things around the world do seem to be on the upswing as more people get vaccinated. However, it appears we have to wait a bit longer for total relief given the emergence of new COVID strains like the Delta variant.
The PCMI Board of Directors, Germany Conference Committee, and Management Team were disappointed to postpone the International Conference in Cologne again.
Still, we remain hopeful that we will make it to Germany next May. In the meantime, we will provide our members with high-quality technical programming, continuing the Educational Webinar Series and adding the In-Person Networking Forum.
As we have worked through the COVID-era programming, we have been delighted to realize we are reaching members and industry colleagues who had not previously attended the international conferences generally held each year in Europe and the United States.
Attendance records show that we should continue to offer some level of virtual programming to meet the need of members who prefer to attend educational programming from the comfort of their home or office.
While we look forward to your participation in our upcoming in-person and virtual events, we also want to encourage you to take advantage of the New Product Spotlight.
