MON: Independent voices were the key to the success of nineties cinema. A moment of tremendous upheaval in the motion picture industry saw a revolt against Hollywood’s bland output from the previous decade which allowed more independent films to become commercially viable and they began seeping into more mainstream fare.
TUE: The Black voice in cinema, directing mavericks, and life and death issues. (the death penalty and right to die).
WED: TED TALKS (6)
THUR: Excerpts from: Dead Man Walking, Boyz in the Hood, Silence of the Lambs, The Professional, Reservoir Dogs, Shawshank Redemption, Fargo, The Sixth Sense, The Big Lebowski, The Matrix, Wag the Dog and Do the Right Thing will be evaluated for their statements about contemporary culture of the time. on select topic.

TUE: The Comic Book Superhero Film and Franchises take over. The Independent voice is squashed. Bigger box office and a global marketplace drive the industry.
WED: TED TALKS (2) Animation back on the rise and now it’s not just for children. Marketing and merchandising drive box office and the actor takes the head of the Hollywood decision making process.
