Bukit Besi
Bukit Besi is located in the Dungun District
was once a mining town a long time ago. Now, the
remnants of the mining industry is still preserved
within the city of Bukit Besi. There are a few
historical artifacts that are still in display till this
date such as chimneys, stock piles, washing plant/
tin plant, crushing plant, explosive storage and
parts of the living quarters are still in pristine
conditions.

Dungun Museum
The Dungun District Museum building was built in 1941 atop the
building of what was once the residence of a British advisor in Pantai Teluk Bidara
Dungun. Some of the interesting antiques on display in the Dungun
District Museum are artifacts taken from the Wanli shipwreck
which was found outside the coast of Tanjung Jara in 1997.
