The KGV Fencing Development Squad is aimed at fencers in the Foil discipline, in Years 7-9, who have at least one year of fencing experience and own their own
equipment. Students will learn core fencing skills and techniques with the aim of developing fencers who will represent KGV in inter-school competitions.
This activity is NOT suitable for beginner fencers. Those who are NEW to fencing are encouraged to join the “Fencing for Beginners” activity on Monday.

The KGV Fencing Development Squad activity will be taught by Mr. Bell who has represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland at International level and coached
numerous UK, Irish and Junior European fencing champions over the past 12 years.

Students will require a complete set of fencing kit, including all items of protective equipment (Fencing Equipment List), in order to attend the activity. The total
cost of the equipment is approximately HK$2000. Students are also required to bring a water bottle to the activity
