YOUNG CONNECTION SPOTLIGHTS

INTRODUCING: Kristina Coopman
River Arts, Inc.

Kristina Coopman is a born and raised Wisconsin native, growing up just across the river in Waunakee, WI. She has three
older siblings, including a twin brother (technically older by just four minutes). After graduating from Waunakee in 2011,
she continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Kristina chose to attend UWGB specifically
because of one academic programs: Gallery and Museum Studies. As the only public university in the state offering such
a program, the choice was a no-brainer. As a lifelong attendee of Children’s Museums, National History Museums,
galleries, and planetariums, Kristina knew she wanted to pursue a career at a public arts organization.
After graduating from UWGB in 2014, Kristina because an independent arts consultant with Arts Wisconsin. Traveling
around the state and assisting small towns and villages with public art, mural programs, school arts projects, and more
gave her hands-on experiences bringing the arts to the public.
Kristina started working part time at River Arts Inc in August of 2015. After a year of part time help, Kristina was ecstatic
to be made a full time employee of the non-profit organization, now under the title of Studio Manager. In this role, she
manages the brand new studio/classroom space that was added on in 2017. This includes booking adult art classes,
private rentals, tours, exhibitions, kids’ art experiences, and beyond. She invites you to attend one of the nearly 80
events held at River Arts Inc throughout the year, including classes, workshops, concerts, presentations, and more.
