La Diablesse on the River Bank

ong ago, in Grenada, there was this small
village named Mt Horne that was close to a river.
It was cold and very quiet and all you could hear
was the sound of the lovely river. It wasn’t only
lovely, it was lonely and the its banks were
covered with elephant grass and cocoa trees. The
villagers would to go down to the river and wash
on a river stone like they always do.
