My Design Store

We sat down and started mapping out ideas for

the reopening party and thought about what
theme we should use. One of my friends

suggested that we should do a tropical garden

with bamboo chairs, cups made from coconut,

palm trees and a waterfall drawing on the wall,

with a freshly picked bouquet of flowers in each
vase.

Since Independence Day was around the corner,

we decided to have indigenous meals such as

“titteree” fish cakes, oildown with yam,
dumplings, fig and salt meat, coconut fish cakes,

roast and fried breadfruit and all things that we

were traditionally accustomed to. Whenever

people visit our shop we want them to get a real

taste of our local foods plus our always-unique

clothing designs.
