The Deep Sea Beast

softly. A chill ran through my spine as fear gripped

me. Nearby, a friendly sea horse glided gently
towards me, so I touched it.

Suddenly, it grew as big as a whale! I jumped onto

a slimy rock. I was scared to death by the horrifying

creature but still amazed by its beauty. I wondered

where my friend the sea horse had vanished.

I heard my name again and got scared.

Then I responded shakily, “Who…. who… who is
there?’’ I then yelled,’ “Lola, Minnie, Kyle!”

My eyes filled with tears as my heart became a

runaway train. A slimy green glob shaped like a

hand stretched towards me. The fresh scent was

now gone. Instead, the air was filled with the

strong scent of dead fish.

Tears plummeted down my face but still, I had to
deal with whatever that green glob was. I decided

to swim to land. Without warning, a hand emerged!
