A Picture of My Island Life

We saw parrots and even saw a large termite’s
nest busy eating its way through a tree; we saw
land turtles and crabs. We even saw a snake
dangling and hissing from a tree.

Soon it was time to head back. We made our way
back to the water falls.

In the water I saw a reflection of a picture frame.
I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and jumped
into the water and through the frame.
