Experiencing the Annual ‘Monster’ of the Caribbean
         I
             n  early  September  2017,  a  monster  attacked

          many  of  the  Caribbean  islands  and  some

          countries on the American continent too.


          I  thought  for  sure  that  I  was  safe,  for  three

          months  had  passed  into  the  hurricane  season.
          No one had heard of the approaching hazard.


          Unfortunately, I had spoken too soon. Hurricane

          Irma  was  approaching,  and  everyone  was

          informed  that  it  would  be  one  of  the  most

          destructive  hurricanes  to  all  the  countries  in  its
          path.



          Everyone       on     the     islands     was     trimming

          overhanging branches, cutting down trees, nailing

          down house roofs, and shutters and cleaning the

          surroundings  of  any  debris  that  could  fly  across

          the sky.


          I live close to a public main road and I can hear

          and  see  the  vehicles  swiftly  passing  by.  I  could

          therefore  see  most  of  the  trucks  stocked  with

          boards, steel, and cement. I believed that most of
