My Experience of the La Soufriere Volcano

The eruption of the La Soufriere volcano taught me

two things. One, the volcano can be very
destructive to anything in its path resulting in the

changing of the landscape. Two, living on the

slopes of the volcano, I must always be on the alert

for early warning signs and be prepared to move to

safety in the event of an eruption. The 2021 La
Soufriere eruption will forever stay in my memory

but most of all I am thankful to God for having

spared the lives of the people in the community,

including that of my family and myself.
