OUR ISA JOURNEY

ISA COORDINATORS 2020-2023

When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their
hearts –the Dalai Lama. The ISA programme from the very inception touched
the hearts of our teachers and students alike. Our ISA journey has been a long

yet rewarding one. Delhi Public School Newtown was accredited with the
prestigious INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD 2020-2023 which is designed

for schools to imbibe Internationalism into the curriculum. The journey
started with a spark lit by Mrs. Sonali Sen, Principal of Delhi Public School

Newtown. Various workshops were organised to figure out a way to
reinvigorate learning and incorporate fun in all the collaborative and non-

collaborative activities. Our ISA journey was one where we walked the talk
thus teaching our students that the first step to success is adhering to the
promises, we made to ourselves. We successfully collaborated with three

schools in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the UK. The ‘Connecting Classroom’
with these schools were highly beneficial to our students. They were exposed

to international thought-process, exchange ideas and opinions thus
enhancing their mental, spiritual and physical energies. The key idea of our
ISA programme was to celebrate Optimism in all its glory. All our activities

were designed to reinforce Positivity at all junctions of life. Along the ISA
journey our students picked up better language skill, honed their researching

capabilities and enriched themselves from the collaborative exchanges
which will undoubtedly help them grow as global leaders. The exhilarating

moment was of course the Skype sessions with our partner schools. Not only
was the confidence boosted but the students’ critical approach to a given

topic was tested, sharpened and augmented. The ISA programme definitely
connected the classrooms creatively that touched the hearts of each one of us.
