The Forest Princess and the Little Girl
Aishani Dey, Class 3
Once upon a time there lived a forest queen. The queen had one daughter named
Princess Rosie. Princess Rosie loved to draw and paint. She grew up drawing and
painting things and she liked the places where she could draw and paint in peace. She
loved to stay alone in the forest with trees and forest animals. Then suddenly one day
the queen lost her life and Princess Rosie became the queen of the forest and she
never wanted her empire to be destroyed, so she tried to keep it safe as her mother
did. On her trips to the forest each day, she used to see a little girl planting plants with
lots of love and affection on her face. She liked the girl and her way of planting trees
in the forest.
One day a wood cutter came and started cutting the trees. Queen Rosie saw it and
wanted to stop the wood cutter from cutting down the forest. She prayed “O God
please help us and the forest”.
Just when she was thinking what to do, and was very sad, she
suddenly saw the little girl running towards the wood cutter
with a big knife in her hand. She was there to save the forest.
She requested the wood cutter “Don’t cut trees down because if
you do so, no one will be alive as we get oxygen from these
trees. Plant as many trees as possible as it will keep all of us
healthy.”
In this way, the little girl, whose name was Lily, saved the forest
and the forest people. Queen Rosie was very happy with the
girl and gifted her a beautiful tree house, where she and her
family could stay and also gave her the duty to take care of the
forest.
We should all take care of the trees around us and should not
allow anyone to cut trees. We should plant many trees so we
can get oxygen from them.
